This four-hour course is setup to teach the average law enforcement officer, security guard or law-abiding citizen how to be proficient with an expandable baton. Expandable Batons have been primarily used as a non-lethal option of self-defense however used properly could give physical and psychological damage to most middle line street predators. The laws on expandable batons are not strict but department policy is overriding of its use or misuse within the State of Arizona making it much more desirable. Carrying one without proper training is more of a risk than not having it at all! Students must be in good physical condition for this course. We also include a portion of class that deals with defense against a knife or edged weapon and physical strikes in conjunction with the baton use for maximum control. The training we will provide is the most state of the art baton training available.

This course is approved as to form for AZ POST continuing proficiency training credit!
