Dynamics Of Tactical Training
ByWhat is tactical training and what are the advantages of training under this mindset. Well lets look at exactly that area of tactical training,” mindset,” and what role does it play in our training and our survival in a violent situation.
When we tell our students to get out of range mode and into tactical mode, we are looking to change their complete outlook and attitude. We want to interject as much realism and obstacles into the training as possible. Our goal is to get our students out of the relaxed range type of target shooting and teach them to think on their feet without always being given a direct command on how to accomplish an objective.
An objective is perceived as a threat to the student and should be interpreted as one. In order to accomplish this sometimes frustrating task, we must teach the students to think on their feet and use every bit of creativity and aggression if needed to handle the situation.
The meaning of tactical training has several different theories. Some might say tactics are just a matter of cheating to get the upper hand on a situation. Others may say that tactics is continual firearms training done previously to any situation. Still others may say that tactics is movement in the face of the enemy or possibly just a overwhelming will to live. This also means fighting any way you have to, using any lethal or non-lethal tool you have in order to survive. They’re all correct. All of these theories fulfill aspects of tactical training..
The main objective in tactical training is for the student to adjust to varying situations and circumstances, under all levels of stress or problem solving. This in turn will make the student extremely proficient in gun handling, more focused under pressure and more likely to survive a violent confrontation.
“GET TACTICAL”

Again Mr Volpone this is good stuff. Anyone can train over and over again. But put them under an adrenaline dump and performance is out the window. Your reality based training is right on. Put people in a situation where they are out of their comfort zone and then teach them to perform and function now you have something. I look forward to training with you Sir can’t wait to learn.
